About Bob Thomas Consulting

Bob Thomas, Principal of Bob Thomas Consulting, has nearly twenty years of experience in high-tech marketing. Bob's experience includes: Bob has consulted with clients ranging from established companies such as Hewlett Packard, Sun/Netscape, Symbol Technologies, and Aspect Communications, to a variety of startups.

Bob started his career at Hewlett Packard, and held key Product Management positions for the billion-dollar HP3000 minicomputer business. He then moved to a Field Marketing role as Regional Channel Partner Manager for HP Asia-Pacific, gaining experience in rapidly growing markets such as China.

Bob was next Senior Director of Marketing at Scale8, a startup utilizing distributed systems technology in both a product offering and an Internet-based hosted service. Bob's team was responsible for all Product Management, Product Marketing, and Corporate Marketing activities.

Bob was most recently Sr. Director of Product Marketing at Network Appliance, where he was responsible for all outbound Product Marketing activities for NetApp’s storage systems and core software.
